How the Dodge Logo Was Created
You've certainly seen the big horn sheep, or ram, used on Dodge trucks. It was used as a symbol for Dodge vehicles between 1932 and 1954 and was recently revived on the rugged trucks they make today.
The logo was created by Avard T. Fairbanks, an American artist. He was looking through various designs that included mythological creatures and powerful animals. Finally, he settled on drawing the Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, as he was sure that the concept of the charging ram would be welcome by Mr. Chrysler.
He was right and the art concept was quickly accepted, due to the ram's image as the king of the mountain trail. This is why the ram is still being used as a symbol for Dodge trucks today.
